Living in Enschede
Enschede is in the east of the Netherlands, in the Twente region. Study in NL says students spend on average €1,000–€1,500 a month and an average room costs about €550, depending on the city. Housing is short across the country, so start looking as soon as you are admitted and never pay for a room you have not seen.
You may work up to 16 hours a week, or full-time in June, July and August, once your employer has a work permit (TWV). After your degree, the orientation year permit lets you look for work for one year. See our work after graduation guide.
