Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR) is a public research university known for economics, business, law, health and social sciences. For 2027/28, non-EEA students pay €14,700 per year for most bachelor's programs and €22,800 for most master's, according to the university's official tariff page.

Admission requirements

Bachelor's: a secondary diploma equivalent to Dutch VWO plus program-specific mathematics and English requirements; numerus fixus programs use selection. Certified copies are due by 1 August.

Master's: a bachelor's equivalent in level and content to the relevant Dutch bachelor's. Requirements differ by school. At Erasmus School of Economics you need IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in every section, TOEFL iBT 91 (minimum 22) or Cambridge C1 176/C2 180. Online tests are not accepted for visa students, and an English-taught degree alone does not exempt you. Some RSM programs need a GMAT or GRE.

Check your diploma level

Research universities expect VWO level. Nuffic compares the Afghan 12th Grade certificate to HAVO and an Afghan bachelor's to an HBO bachelor's or 2 years of WO. Confirm eligibility with EUR before paying any fee. See our admission requirements guide.
